dhparam is a file used in cryptography to store a set of Diffie-Hellman parameters. Diffie-Hellman is an algorithm used for securely exchanging keys over a public network. The parameters stored in the dhparam file include large prime numbers that are used to generate a shared secret key between two parties. These parameters are used to increase the security of the key exchange process, making it more difficult for attackers to intercept or tamper with the key.
